SBH Island Cleanup

Kudos and MANY THANKS to all of the residents and visitors who participated in the clean up on the island this past weekend. According to a Facebook post by
Coral Restoration over 300 volunteers collected 12 tons of trash. There are 62 amazing photos (which if I were more techie I might be able to post here) on Facebook showing
some of the people and the unbelievable stuff they collected. I have to wonder if some of it was leftover from the hurricanes. Hard to believe there could be that much junk otherwise.

Wish we had been there to participate.

Amount of junk and debris is shocking, isn't it! What a fantastic turnout . . . SBH always shows the greatest community spirit.

Kudos to all who participated. In addition to the residents and visitors, there were teams made up of the staff of several hotels (Cheval Blanc, Villa Marie, and the Christopher were mentioned, there may have been others.) There apparently was some Irma-debris collected, as well as post-Irma debris and trash. Her are a few of the many photos from the Rotary Club’s FB page:

Island divers also participated, shown here in a pre-dive briefing
