A delightful story about the Red Cross ladies from the U.S. serving in Europe during WWII. They brought donuts, coffee and happiness to our troops during difficult times. It is fiction based on facts and brings a happy warmth to your soul learning what these brave people went through to support our soldiers during difficult times. Spoiler alert- it ends on an upbeat note!

Thanks for the recommendation. Sounds like another interesting WWII book. I enjoy reading about that era. A book about WWI you might find engrossing is “The Winter Soldier” by Daniel Mason. Not an easy read but one that will stay with you—-combines the harsh reality of war with a love story.
