Senior Insider
Just arrived back from a run at the Stadium track.
We enjoyed eggs, bacon, baguette with butter/jam, coffee and OJ at Le Jardin this morning. Was very tasty.
Last night we drove to the Aux Amis restaurant at the Le Barthelemy Hotel. They were hosting a special dinner with live music for 89 Euros per person, it was advertised as "BBQ Langouste".
As requested, when I made the reservation, we were seated near where the singer was setting up.
We started with their special cocktail for the evening "Fizzy Star", it was delicious and served in a generously size goblet, Vodka based.
A bevy of starters was brought to the table in unison; Cod Fritters with scrumptious dipping sauce, thinly sliced Mahi-Mahi with Vanilla sauce and spices, Gazpacho of tomato base, Caesar salad with Chicken, and of course, bread. Wow, was it a lot of food, well presented and delivered. I love the matching dresses the female staff wear.
Main course was grilled Lobster Tail, nicely size portion of Fillet Mignon, served with sweet potatoes mash and skewer of grilled vegetables.
Dessert was a nice size bowl of puree pineapple, scoops of Mango Sorbet, topped with semi-sweet circular ring of chocolate, and lemon poppy seed cakes on the side.
It was a delightful lovely evening, crowned by entertainment provided by Margaux. She was extremely talented, beautiful voice and excellent guitar performer, replicating well known classics.
A true Winner!!!!!
