Awoke at 4:00 this morning to beautiful clear skies, infinite number of stars visible from my vantage point high above Flamands while enjoying the soothing jets of my deck jacuzzi. Reminded me of the song Stary Stary Night. Many roosters were already heavily into their battle of the song. Looks to be another beautiful day in Paradise.
Unfortunately, it does not appear that the Tamarin tree is going to survive IMHO. So sad to see it lifeless, not a single leaf to be found. However, the balance of the gardens still mesmerizes us, so beautiful and tranquil. Since we were last there in January, nice addition of hearts in each of the Lily Ponds.
We were very warmly greeted and offered our choice of seating. We both started with a fine Peach Bellini, great compliment to our bowl of olives, they were scrumptious. Next up was a wonderful amuse bouche of cold tomato gazpacho with bread. Wow, can't get bread like that at home. We both ordered Foie Gras with peppers and old rum grilled pineapple, reduced tamarin juice as starters. I ordered wild shrimp ravioli, aioli sauce with grilled octopus and lobster broth, it was fabulous. Anita ordered roasted breast of yellow chicken from the Landes, served with spinach and pine nuts, saffron risotto al salto and roasted juice. Needless to say, we left very happy! I must note, the service was exemplary, they have a great staff this season.
Off to the beach for our morning swim, then to breakfast at Manapany.
