Greetings St. Barth friends, in all our travels we have not been to Corossol. Anything to see or any restaurants? Thanks we travel to St. Barth during US Memorial Day

Corossol is a quiet little community of mostly locals. There is one restaurant, Au Regal, which is very local, very good, and very into soccer. There is a small grocery store, Épicerie de Corossol, which keeps Sunday and holiday hours. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen them, but some of the local ladies make beautiful handmade palm frond pieces which they display for sale (cash only) near the street. There’s a small beach there, where you will likely be the only ones hanging out.

I’ve been aware, Pascale, of the growing absence of handmade items by Corossol women in recent years & attributed it to the fading of local artistry . . . did not know that the local plant used in their craft is disappearing. Very sad on both counts!

Amanda, who had the little gift shop in Corrossol that was destroyed by Irma, was learning how to weave taking llessons one of the old women so the craft could continue.

Is she back on the island? Based on her Instagram, she's EVERYWHERE lately!!
