    Toiny Menu Change

On our visit to Grand Fondís feet in the sand lunch at Le Toiny today, we asked our server about the dinner menu offered in the main dining room. Specifically, we were interested in their SIGNATURE dish, the truffle spaghetti prepared at your table and mixed and assembled and flambeed in a huge wheel of Reggiano Parmesan cheese. Sit down, and take a deep breath. That pasta dish has been removed from the menu.

I hear your gasps and SAY IT AINíT SO mumbling...but, it is what it is.

I hope you were seated and that the injuries received when you were crushed will heal nicely.

Ha. A nice Cacio e Pepe will do just fine.

But Amy . . . I think that the signature dish had been changed to be barely recognizable -- so, perhaps not a huge loss from what we knew & liked?

I believe there are photos of that wheel of cheese somewhere on the Forum Amy. Don’t know how to find them?

Plenty of photos and even a video on how it was prepared. Good memories.
