Sometime next year (probably) Villa Marie will open a bar/restaurant on the plage at St-Jean near Camp David. Style Club 55 does BBQ. Transats for guests of the hotel. Possibly for others??? With parking . . . et un voiturier, j'en suis sûr. No name as of yet.

It’s a stone wall from Camp David to the end. Unless it is in front of CAP. The little yellow case

Who owns the stone wall, and who is leasing/selling to Villa Marie? And if they're limited in what they can put on the beach, does it matter anyway? The stone wall, if it stays, just means a few steps down to the beach.

The beach is very narrow in front of the stone wall but behind the stone wall is an empty lot. If Camp David isn’t rebuilding there is plenty of beach. There goes the neighborhood.

Where do we think it's going ?

The hotel might shuttle you over. Parking problem could be a secret plot hatched by the taxi drivers on island.

PS Or perhaps There has been a darn good bollard salesman working St Barths

there is a driveway going down towards that beach to begin with.... large property divided in 3 one of the 3 is letting them use the land....

From a tourist perspective only (I can't speak as a resident of course), I think what is happening on St Jean is great. Anyone looking for the whole beach/bar restaurant vibe will have their fill with all of the beach restaurants and of course Eden Rock in the center of it all and anyone that doesn't like it doesn't have to go there as there are many other beaches to enjoy. For us it's perfect. We'll go there once or twice and then avoid it the rest of the time and instead spend our days at the "quieter" beaches. I do wonder though where the saturation point is.

There is a large empty lot next to Villa Cap and Villa Bord de Meir, when we stayed at Villa Cap several years ago. Always wondered when it would be developed? Is this the location they are taking about?

That’s the lot I was talking about. There is also an empty lot on the other side of Camp David.
