Our last trip, we flew through San Juan via Tradewind Air. It was a great journey down, all seats on Tradewind were booked and we were the only 2 who weren’t travel agents. They had 2 bottles of Krug champagne for the guest and the ice chest over flowing with beer, snacks and bottled water. Returning a different story, no bottle water, no beer and most importantly no Krug :( we felt like 2nd class travelers. Does the trip down usually include champagne 🍾 or was this something special for the travel agents? Who probably weren’t even paying!
 
Tradewind always has a cooler in the back of the plane filled with wine, beer, water and sodas..and a snack tray...both directions.
one year we chartered for family and requested champagne and it was supplied...
 
Typically, Champagne is only available on Tradewind when you charter the entire aircraft.
 
Ok, it’s what I had guessed. The Krug was to impress the travel agents and we lucked out being on the same flight with them, they were a fun group and we ran into them several times at restaurants while on the island. Going back with the almost empty cooler was just bad luck. Although pricey it’s so nice to bypass Miami customs and convient in San Juan. Will book them again on upcoming trip. Have others notes that the pilots look to be in their early 20’s?
 
We were the only two passengers on our Tradewind flight on Sunday, February 3rd! Felt like royalty. We thought that it might have been due to fewer travelers on Super Bowl Sunday. However, our son had the same luxurious experience on Friday, Feb 8th. Tradewind does a terrific job...and yes, the pilots look like teenagers!
 
Never champagne for us but always a full cooler both ways for us. Pilots look young but very personable and helpful. Overall the company does a great job. It was already reported on the Forum- the owners- who are brothers- immediately after Irma instructed their pilots to fill up their planes with supplies for both SBH and SJU and then fly people out at no cost! Now that is a special company!
 
Their customer service is impeccable....we had a little glitch returning home last trip and they handled it most professionally.
 
There were small bottles of "champagne" and wine and cans of beer on the flight in this past Monday. All of it arrived safely, just not in the original containers! 😎

The customer service was top notch! Still not sure I'll bear the cost next go-round. It's all about the landing. Tom
