I think there actually may be new charge processing equipment on the pumps. Pick your language, and follow directions carefully, e.g. pull out card only when instructed, not as we typically do at the gas pumps at home (in and right out).

Maybe the only thing about St. Barts to be stressed about. On multi-week stays always tried to minimize the number of re-fills.
