In recent years, I have been mostly disappointed by movies. So when we went to the "Green Book", my expectations weren't high. I was pleasantly surprised-----this is a terrific movie. Based on a true story, it covers the trip from the midwest through the south in the 1960s of a talented black classical pianist, Don Shirley, and his driver, Tony Lip. It its funny, sad, moving----and depicts the impact of segregation very realistically. It is also a story of how two men from completely different backgrounds can find common ground. The acting is excellent and Oscar worthy but it is the depth and emotional appeal of the story that makes this an outstanding film. Don't miss it.
