Wainbridge, the real estate investment, development and asset management boutique, has launched Wainbridge Estates, its super-prime, residential development and investment arm, and appointed Christophe Leriche as its new head of France.
Wainbridge Estates has been set up to capitalise on the increasing demand for super-prime residential developments in leading global locations and will focus on the top-end residential sector in London, New York, Paris, the South of France, the Caribbean and other locations that are sought after by ultra high net worth individuals. The Wainbridge Estates investment vehicle will capitalise on market opportunities and provide the necessary capex required to undertake complex super prime projects, to which the Company will apply its expertise in development and understanding of high-end users’ requirements in order to create value on behalf of its investors.

Christophe, who has over 23 years’ experience in the real estate investment, development and private equity sectors, joins from Hines, where he most recently held the role of Senior Project Director. He held a number of senior positions at Hines during 17 years with the company, prior to which he worked for Bouygues Immobilier for six years. He holds a Masters degree in Management from the University Paris IX Dauphine, and a Masters degree from the French Business School, ISG.

Christophe will be supported by a team of well established local partners, architects and luxury interior designers and will help to lead the next phase of Wainbridge’s entry into the super-prime residential development arena, building on the experience gained through developments in Paris and the Cote d’Azure over the past three years.

Additionally, in parallel to its continuing investment focus on London, Christophe’s appointment should help to provide further access to “value-added” office based investment opportunities in the Parisian market, where Wainbridge has already been an active player for some time. Through its mandated funds, Wainbridge will now extend its proven strategy of identifying, acquiring and actively managing “value-add” office opportunities within the Greater London market, that require some degree of capital expenditure, to Paris’ CBD and the Western Paris suburbs.

Edouard Fernandez (pictured), Principal and co-founder of Wainbridge Limited, says: “We believe that current economic conditions, with stock market volatility, low interest rates and the desire of individuals to buy into secure, tangible assets, combined with the ongoing global growth of the super-rich, makes this is a very attractive segment of the market, offering significant opportunities. With our long experience of working with ultra high net worth individuals and investment and development skills, we are ideally placed to succeed in this market, and I look forward to working closely with Christophe as we enter this exciting new stage of Wainbridge’s growth.”

Rob Rackind, Principal and co-founder of Wainbridge Limited, says: “Christophe is a highly experienced and respected operator in both real estate investment and development, and we feel confident he has the right skills to head up our new super-prime residential arm. His extensive knowledge of development and project management, combined with his deep understanding of the requirements of the buyers in this highly specialised sector, are an excellent match with Wainbridge, and we are excited to welcome him to the team.”
