December 2, 2017 Bananiers re-opens

We were excited to be at Bananiers in Colombier for their first dinner seating of the season. Every seat was occupied by locals and visitors so happy to welcome Fred and Valerie back. The room is a bit smaller, but sleek and au courant!

This is the regular menu and there were a few specials for starters and for main courses.

The CAESAR SALAD we shared was filled with greens, amazing crisp buttery croutons, bacon strips,and slices of chicken breast.

The duck breast was served in a seasoned mango sauce and came with assorted steamed vegetables and the delicious ramekin of piping hot fresh from the oven sliced potatoes dauphine.

A special tonight was sweet breads in a delicious white wine and cognac sauce. But I am not 100% certain because the sauce was switched from the original morel sauce that was originally offered as the special. The waitress explained that there was a recipe change. Needless to say, it was scrumptious!
