Resto Status Post-Irma

La Petite Colombe has announced that they are again selling roast chickens in the parking lot of the boulangerie in Colombier. I didn't know that they were doing so pre-Irma, so this is doubly good news.

At one time, the only person doing weekend chickens (and ribs, and langouste) was the Portugese guy working out of the parking lot of La Boucherie in St Jean. You could get a roast chicken at Marché U, but his were better. Several people have asked if the Portugese guy had a new location, or if anyone else had opened a similar operation. Staying in Lorient, I rarely went to La Petite Colombe in Colombier, so I might have missed this.
 
there is a butcher shop in Les Mangliers shopping area in St Jean - behind the gas station - that does good chickens as well....
 
La Petite Colombe in Colombier was doing chicken when we were there as a family in June and also when Matt and I visited in August :)

We ate at Les Bananiers 3 times for lunch and parked in the bakery parking lot. It wasn’t there.

Boucherie Ché Yo - Out of the two butchers on the island, I prefer them. No particular reason, I just like them better. I've seen their rotary oven, but I've never been back into Les Mangliers on a Sunday morning to know if they are selling roast chicken on Sundays.

I stand corrected, did not mean June but rather May with family and August with Matt. Here is a picture taken May 20, 2017 at 8:17am of Les Bananiers rotisserie chickens

The small grocery/boulangerie in Flamands,[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif] Saint Hélène Boulangerie, will be open tomorrow.[/FONT]
 
Le Glacier reopens on Tuesday, with a limited menu.

Le Rendez-Vous, the organic grocery store of the AMC group of markets, located in Les Manglers in St Jean, will reopen on Wednesday. The Gustavia and Lorient AMC stores will remain closed, and the stock of Le Rendez-vous will be supplemented with non-organic items such as national brands, Casino-branded items, and produce selected by AMC. Hours will be 08:00 - 19:00 Monday through Saturday.
 
Le Jardin is open, Eddy's expects to reopen as scheduled on November 1, and La Cantina will reopen at the end of October.
