Amazing Stay at Villa Triagoz/Magic Bird

I recently stayed at Villa Triagoz (aka Magic Bird) and loved it. The proximity to Flamands Beach (1 min walk) and the layout of the Villa made us never want to leave. The location of the Villa was also convenient because we were able to use the facilities at Cheval Blanc, which is 100 yards from the Villa.
We were greeted at the airport by a professional member of the staff and escorted to the Villa where Estelle, the manager, helped us settle in.
Overall it has been a magical experience. The bedrooms are spacious, elegant and there are breathtaking views of the ocean and the colorful nature surrounding the villa. The living space has an open floor plan and is well aerated. The kitchen is easy to manage as well.
The Villa was recently purchased by its new owner, Pietro, who is pays attention to all details. Thank you again for such incredible experience, we will surely be back next year.
We highly recommend Triagoz!

Have you heard anything else about this villa? I can’t find much other than this over the top review.

Hey Dick, Rob and I met a couple at La Plage several years ago who were staying at that villa. We were staying at Flamands Blue that year which is literally right across the street, so we were invited over for a drink. The villa is very nice - very spacious living area with a massive wooden table. Kitchen seemed well appointed and bedroom was spacious as well. They only had one bedroom open but I think from what I remember the bedrooms were on opposite sides of the living area. I do remember that the pool area was very nice, and had a great view over Flamands. Seeemd very private.

Again, we were only there for a drink and it was seven years ago, but I remember being impressed.

Cheers to you and Cecie!

Thanks for the info, Sheryl. We’re thinking about this villa and some others. Good to hear from you!

Hi Dick, i am the owner of Villa Triagoz. We are welcoming guests as of November 1st. Please see our website for any questions/inquiries.

Thank you, Pietro

I was wondering if noise would be an issue.
They are going to have to rebuild the Cheval Blanc, and the large villas on the beach..Doesn't this mean 2 or 3 years of cranes and noise near that beach ?

there may be noise as it will be the case in most part of the island. 2-3 years seems a bit too long, i say 18 months max. Cheval Blanc will reopen in 2018.

Dick,
I'm very familiar with this villa..the former owner Joel Gougeon is a friend and our Flamands Blue overlooks the property.
Well built, flawlessly maintained with nice views of Flamands and like ours has the sidewalk to the beach and hotels. Very few steps.
It does sit right on the main road to the beach---a beautiful place.

Cheval Blanc is far enough away so that noise would not seem to be an issue since at any time there is construction about the island.

Jeff- what was the former name of this villa? I think this was our first stay on the island. Is there a separate building with bedroom and bath in addition to the main building?

How do you and others who are villa owners handle renters who decide construction noise is an issue after they arrive?

The idea that "at any time there is construction about the island" should be considered in determining if concerns regarding noise from a major hotel project should deter one from renting a specific villa speaks volumes about the island and what we have come to accept. Although the good has continued to outweigh the bad for us, construction unrelated to Irma has kept us from recommending St Barth as a destination to friends without strong warnings about construction.

In February, there were building permits all the way up the road to Santa Fe.

Thanks for the info, Jeff. We almost rented it but a last-minute glitch stopped the deal so we are back to looking!

It is worth mentioning that the large villas next to isle de France/Cheval blanc also need to be demolished and rebuilt. The structure moved ,as more than 7 meters of sand moved out....I went walking under one of them after Irma.
And those are large large villas....thinking that noise will end in 2018 is wishful thinking in my opinion.
