Eclipse

We are set to go to a mountain top location in Pigeon Forge. The total eclipse's path passes right over Tennessee. Hope it is not cloudy :)

Any on-island reports?

Where I was it something like 84% coverage and if I didn't know it was happening, I wouldn't have even noticed. That is to say that the brightness/darkness of the sky didn't change at all. A passing cloud provided a lot more shade than the moon did.

Even at 80% yesterday here in northern Michigan, there was a marked drop in temperature and it got darker but not at all like night.

We were at 99.99%, just 5-miles from 100% in Pigeon Forge, was a spectacular 2-minutes to say the least!

As Phil always says "Location, location, location!"
I watched the solar event in the reflection on my car rear window and I was impressed. Never got dark, but I could see the moon and its path across the sun.
