Flying over the people it always seemed to us that they were awfully close. Glad something is being done about it. Glad Ed Gudenas was not harmed on the island when his head was hot by a plane a while back. He seems to have had no repercussions.

While I am very sorry for the loss of life, I can't believe it's taken this long for SXM to realize that the fence issue was a problem. I do however, place blame on people who hung on the fence despite the warnings. It should have been resolved many years ago, IMHO.
