SBH comes to Montauk

In this morning's NYTimes, there's an article about the long-surviving "East Hampton Star" and, in part, it's lineup of articles for this week-end's issue. Among the articles: ". . . word of $18 French fries at Duryea's, a beloved old lobster shack in Montauk that had just received a St. Bart's-style makeover . . .." Sounds like -- maybe -- Taiwana prices?

Well the menu posted can't be mistaken for a lobster shack.

Prices don't look so bad for a place in Montauk. The $18 fries is a bit of a red herring if you believe the menu. The sides are supposed to be portioned for 2-3 people. But mochi ice cream for dessert and no vanilla? I guess that's for the people who ordered the sushi.

The east end certainly has some issues similar to what's going on in SBH.

Problem with going out east is that I run into the same people I see and work with all week long.
