I'd like to preface my reply by stating that I, as a Villa owner, use the services of Sibarth & Wimco from time to time . . . and like & respect both of them. I also pay "market rate" for the services of each of them and have no financial interest in either company. Both do super jobs in serving Villa guests.. . . they were the ones who advised me about the crew and . . . There were cars with Sibarth logo
When I sometimes get "direct" rentals -- I.e., from our own website . . . not through contacts made to any agency -- I engage (for a fee) the services of Sibarth (as I've done for 13+ years) to meet-&-greet guests upon arrival on the island and to process rental agreements & collect rent payments. The fee I pay is not passed to clients.
In these instances, Sibarth personnel inspect the Villa before guests arrive . . . deliver complimentary wine, water, & gift items (such as Hermes toiletries & a beach bag) . . . escort guests to the Villa and go inside with them in order to make sure that everything is satisfactory . . . and provide, from time to time, "concierge" services -- notably, for example, deliveries of food and items such as baby cribs. Sibarth vehicles, thus, will be seen going-&-coming from the Villa on numerous occasions for various reasons. Sibarth personnel, as a result, have plenty of opportunity to assess the guests & learn whether they're a film crew, a group of nuns, a family, or any other of the assorted guest types who rent villas on SBH.
Sibarth, nonetheless, has not "rented" the Villa. If the guests become noisy or otherwise behave inappropriately, it's the job of our Villa Manager & the maid to deal with them . . . for security of the Villa & good relations with neighbors. Sibarth -- in such cases -- is no more than a well-informed, third party service provider . . . and not responsible for selecting or screening the clients &/or their conduct.
