    Filao Beach Hotel

Does anyone remember the name of the owner of this hotel which used to be on the beach in St. Jean?

    From a sbhonline post:

"Le Colonial, I believe.Loved Filao and everyone there.Le Colonial also a great place.Even Though we stayed in villas, Filao was our first stop to catch up with Mario. Also fun was Cups' restaurant across the street, with a pool in the middle.Arnaud and Matteo were the brothers who owned it.Great times!

I don't remember anything by that name...for me it was Topolino then Cups now part of Eden Rock... but anything is possible..

we should start a photo archive, every time a place changes names we add a new photo and date....

Yes, Filao was bought by ER. It’s the area of ER, more or less, that now incorporates the Rock Star Villa & the adjacent crescent of “bungalow” rooms & the ER beach bar.

I tell people that fractional ownership is timeshare with one or two extra zeroes on the price.

Me and Jim and Coco (she was 6), tip toed through Filao in the dark, after dinner at Eddy’s, and swam, out in front of the hotel, in our underwear. We had just picked up our suitcases at the airport after dinner. They didn’t come with us
