Filao Beach Hotel

Me and Jim and Coco (she was 6), tip toed through Filao in the dark, after dinner at Eddy’s, and swam, out in front of the hotel, in our underwear. We had just picked up our suitcases at the airport after dinner. They didn’t come with us
 
A friend just let me know that Mario recently passed away. RIP friend to so many.

agreed. Many happy times. I used to rush off the beach at Filao every day at 4.00. Mario would save me one of those great chocolate brownie cakes with a single cup of espresso. He would then regal me of the wonders and history of St. Barth. RIP
 
I imagine you could send a note through the St. Jean funeral home. Ellen may know how to reach them.
 
He made me my first Mojito…he went behind the Fialo and produced a handful of mint, and voilá , it was delicious. He was a sweet guy.
