Global Entry for the masses?

We saw these in Philly a few weeks ago too, but they don't accelerate your time through immigration. We did Global Entry this summer and so when I saw the kiosks I was ready to be pissed off, but, these only "pre-screen" you and prepare you for customs. Now if only I could learn to pack carry-on only, then Global Entry would really make a difference in my life!

The machines were in Charlotte when we went through there last week. It asks basically the same questions that are the on blue form you fill out on the airplane only it also takes your photo. It gives you a printout and then go off to see the customs official. We went through on Thursday so it was pretty speedy.

Exactly what happens with GE except your biometrics are checked. No more forms.
