We headed into Gustavia for the 7 PM seating at L'Isola..and very shortly the restaurant filled up to capacity.
Our starters were buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes with a balsamic reduction, frito misto of calamari with carrot and zucchini sticks.
Two warm seafood starters--one with scallops, octopus and shrimp. The other was with langoustine, shrimp and calamari and lemon dressing.
The spaghetti with local lobster and cherry tomatoes was a hit.
The rack of lamb was tender and delicious in its crust of fine herbs and breading
The thin slices of veal in lemon sauce
And the veal saltimbocca alla Romano topped with prosciutto in a sage and white wine sauce.
All the meat dishes came with mashed potatoes and haricort vert.
A truly fine dining experience in a fine Italian Restaurant
