We just got home last night from another fun trip to the island. While there we celebrated my birthday and our 30th anniversary; even had my daughter come down and spend a few nights with us.
We had our villa REP for 6 nights but started off the trip at Le Toiny for two nights and ended the trip with one night at Isle de France. The Le Toiny portion was fun as we had stayed there on two other visits as my wife loves the place (I kept telling myself, "It's our anniversary...")
Along the way we enjoyed some wonderful meals and nights out. The first night there was a Friday and we had a blast at La Plage and watched the dancers put on a show (it WAS my birthday!). The next night we had a great meal up on Santa Fe. We enjoyed the brunch at Le Gaiac that Sunday morning before heading to Bonito (loved it!) that night. On Monday we enjoyed Ocean and we had our anniversary dinner at L'Espirit on Tuesday. That was the first time I had been there in the evening and can see why so many people love it so.
On Wednesday we headed to L'Isola. We had a great time and got a real kick out of sitting next to Billy Joel and also having Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari, a favorite of my daughter back when she was 14, one table away. On Thursday evening we went back to La Gaiac, went to M&P's on Friday, and then La Casa de I'Isle on Saturday.
Every meal was an adventure, with assorted other visits thrown in to The Hideaway, Le Ti, Do Brazil, Jo Jo, Nikki Beach, The Sand Bar, and the Baz Bar.
Many thanks to Ellen for pointing me in the right direction to find some local art for a little gift. Jo-Anne at Les Artisans couldn't have been nicer.
We spent time at a lot of beaches including Toiny, Marigot, Saline, Columbier. Gouverneur, Flammands, and Lorient.
We made it to the Natural Pools one day and sort of surprised a very lovely couple, that, uh, naturally thought a lot of each other. You just chuckle and say, "well this is St Barth... "
I'll add some trip pictures later, maybe even some of the panoramic ones I learned about from my daughter, but island time is catching up and the real world comes early tomorrow.
Another fun trip!
