Why are stores like Sears in so much trouble?
This table from today's [FONT=inherit !important][FONT=inherit !important]retail[/FONT] sales report provides a clue.[/FONT]
What you should pay attention to is the right column, which represents the year-to-date change in sales for each category.
Department store sales are down over 5% year to date.
Non-store retailers, which represents Internet retailers, have seen sales growth of over 10% year to date. (via Kelly

we re doing just fine....entering year 16....and so far dont need a website to survive

Interesting chart and not what I would have expected either. Fred, as a fellow NYCer you might have interest (or not) in knowing that Nordstrom is opening a store on W57 sometime around 2018. http://nypost.com/2013/08/26/nordstrom-buys-its-57th-st-store-jumbo-skyscraper-pending/
