CUTTING FOR STONE

An amazing story of conjoined and separated brothers born in an Ethiopian clinic. We meet the nuns and clinic staff that raised them and the caring community that helps them grow. I learned about medical techniques and Ethiopian history. This is a powerful well written story by Dr. Abraham Verghese and I urge you to pick it up and get lost in the well told tale.

Amy---I have it with me! I love it, now that I'm into it....should finish it this week. Amazing story!

The definitely got better as you got in to it. I learned a lot about medical school training and becoming a surgeon. A caring and qualified surgeon.

WOW! I just finished Cutting For Stone, and it's an amazing story. At almost 660 pages, reading it is a big time commitment, but those who persevere will be captivated by this wonderful tale. I didn't want it to end. Now I'm looking into purchasing his other two books, The Tennis Partner and My Own Country.
