Lena was lamenting the end of ski season as we left the hill this morning and I told her it doesn't have to be over, if she would only think like a real ski bum would think, with a "when hell freezes over I will ski that too" attitude....

I just planteed my seeds in my flats yesterday. The plants won't be ready until the middle of May.

yeah we have to start em early as first frost comes in September quite often...

My concern is the late spring frost not the early fall frost.

yeah here too....thats why we start em early...put em in a greenhouse on wheels...and just wheel em in the garage if frost is coming..the early fall frost we get isnt really a problem for the squash and pumpkins but it cuts the tomatoes and peppers and eggplants way short
