I am correct in assuming to just click on Restore and everything goes back to day one out of the box?

You are correct. Be sure to pull out the sim card also.

You can wipe it without using iTunes. Settings/General/Reset

It appears only Apple and Verizon and ATT got 3G phones. Wallyworld, Target and BB only received WiFi versions. of the 10 phones received at our WallyWorld only one was even 64GB. Hence Apple was the way to go. Big lines here for very few iPads. BB had over 30 in line for 8 at 3:30.

Apple charges a lot more for their products outside of the US.

Top-end iPad 1 is £579 (930 USD) in the UK, 699 € in the euro-zone (970 USD), and was it $699 or $799 in the US?

The UK/euro prices include the taxes but still, it's a ~15% difference. Some products have even bigger difference.

yes and it looks like the new one might come sooner than the 2-3 weeks they are saying..they initially told me the smart cover would ship on the 23rd and the iPad itself on the 28th, and the smart cover is now being shipped Monday
