haven't read any of them but the first two are selling well in my shop and people are saying they are good....war books are white hot right now

Just got Freedom at the library. I was surprised it was on the shelf and not out.

I read "Unbroken"---a gripping (true) saga of an Olympic runner's experiences in WWII as a Japanese POW and afterwards. An intense read, not a light and bubbly beach book. I liked it very much---learned after reading it that Laura Hillenbrand (who wrote "Seabiscuit") never met the main character, Louis Zamperini. She rarely leaves her home and interviewed him over the phone...and, of course, did extensive research.
