THE LION by Nelson DeMIlle

Yep.

I thought it had great promise but faded down the stretch.

And I think I'm tired of John Corey's inner voice.

YMMV.

I've enjoyed his internal dialogue in the past but it just became tiresome to me.

Especially in light of, what I thought, was a dragging plot in the final third of the book.

Just picked it up-has anybody read it yet?

he is fading......people aren't responding to his latest stuff with the same fervor as a few years ago....I think he needs to reinvent himself

I'll chime in. Read it a couple of weeks ago and liked it. I agree with Dennis that there's too much smart-ass-ness, but it kept my interest.

I agree with Dennis. I've read all Nelson DeMille's work, but I'm now ready to give up on him.
