The book was excellent.

I feared that the movie would disappoint, but it was fairly true to the story line.

That's the perfect word for THE ROAD, dark. It was and yet it was a very moving well written little gem.

I liked the book as well, as did my book club. It was not a typical type of book for us (think Three Cups of Tea or The Women) and some people were surprised because they didn't know what it was about. McCarthy is one of my husband's favorites.

I have seen No Country for Old Men and that kind of steered me away from watching The Road. Its available On Demand, maybe we will watch it this week. Thanks Theresa.
