From the St Barts Properties newsletter. Looks like they're landing on a road....
Kudos to Tradewind Aviation – They have been delivering supplies, food and doctors to Haiti – landing in an isolated area near the epicenter of the earthquake. There are no airports in this area, but a 1,200-foot stretch of road has allowed the Cessna Grand Caravans to land and participate in this ongoing mission. Flying out of Santiago, DR, they are averaging six trips a day, and to date have delivered over 3,000 pounds of supplies. Merci Tradewind!
