I just finished this first book in a new mystery series by Alan Bradley. Set in the 1950's in a small village in the British countryside, the story is told by Flavia de Luce. a precocious 11 year old aspiring chemist who is obsessed with poison.

Despite her young age, the mystery is sophisticated and wickedly funny. I look forward to hearing more from Flavia!

Thanks Toni. Is it adult or Y A?

I would say it is adult, although there is nothing to offend a young adult reader...

I am sure my library can find it. Thanks again for the suggestion.
