I am very familar with the Chesapeake in the 1970s having boated there for years. Unfortunately the subject of the book is almost extinct in the Chesapeake as is the rest of the terrain. My fishstore was charging $40/lb for N. Carolina crabmeat last week and the pasteurized crap from Malaysia was $35/lb. Boy.
