Summer trip to Banff/Canadian Rockies

We are in the early stages of planning a summer trip to Banff and possibly other areas of the Canadian Rockies. This is uncharted territory for us so we'd appreciate any suggestions on where to stay and what to do. We'll be travelling with our 5-year old daughter.

Thanks for any suggestions you can offer!

Chateau Lake Louise is located in one of the most beautiful spots on earth. Great hotel as well. Jasper, Athabasca Glacier, Banff are wonderful trips for a family.

Thanks, Josh.

Looks like we'll spend 4 days or so in Banff/Lake Louise and then 4 days in Jasper National Park.

If anyone has any experience on this area, I'd love to hear it as it's new territory for us!

I completely agree with the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise...we've stayed there the last 2 Febs to ski. Also, drive one hour to the west to Golden, BC and do a rafting trip with Wet 'n Wild adventures. www.wetnwild.bc.ca

We did a snowmobile tour with them...great people who really know what they are doing!
