Re: Advice on good beach restauarants in St. Barts
Probably all have been mentioned correctly, but I'll add these thoughts. We almost always go to lunch on the beach, stay, swim, etc.
St. Jean~3 distinctly different restos-La Plage, good food & a nice patron of tourists & locals, party mode with French techno music mostly; SandBar at Eden Rock, excellent food, not as breezy as La Plage, calm & quiet patron; Nikki Beach, not as breezy as La Plage, excellent sushi, hip crowd of wanna be more hip
Grand cul de sac~not as nice a beach as the other two; definitely the best restaurant in Le Sereno, quiet, relaxing patron, Sereno with a wonderful pool or a nice beach to relax on; Sereno will not charge for chaise usage, not will Isle de France, but La Plage might and ER definitely will. Guanihani won't charge for chaises, the food is excellent & the beach okay and they have a pool at the resto.
Shell Beach~Do Brazil, one of our favorites on the Island, good mood & fairly quiet patron, excellent food, beach okay with lots of shells & boulders at the south end to meander around
Flammonds~I'll miss on the other restos as we don't venture there, but Isle de France is an excellent spot for lunch with a quiet patron; note-the resto has plexiglass or glass wind shields & this resto can be quite hot on a non breezy day.
Hope this helps.
