When Filao Beach was destroyed we shifted to Emeraude Plage. Then years of delight followed. Wonderful memories. Mario was the best

Oh how we loved Emeraude Plage. Stayed there twice over Thanksgiving with some dear friends. It's the only time I have stayed "on the beach" in St barths and what a treat it was. Loved the tiki bar for breakfast and all day (ish) cocktails. Miss that place that was so sublime and so affordable. Irma I hate you.

Agreed staying on the beach was always a treat. Loved walking a few short feet from our room to our beach chairs…then a few short steps to a glorious beach. Filao and Emeraude…lovely memories.

Eric (Pierre) from Filao worked at the Hepy Bar for a while - was quite a relaxing setting. When Mario bartended there he would entertain the crowd just like he did at Filao with his tall (and taller) tales. We can trace many of our friendships on SB to people we met at both places.
