THREE SISTERS by Heather Morris

About 2 years ago I was mesmerized by THE TATTOOIST OF AUSCHWITZ. This was followed up by a more detailed look at a featured character in CILKA’S JOURNEY. Now comes the third, THREE SISTERS.

The daughters promised their Dad that no matter how bad things would get, his 3 girls would stay together and take care of each other. More anti semitic roundups.Years in camps at Auschwitz and Buchenwald. Cold, hunger and labor in harsh conditions. But the promise is kept.

A rewarding read and finale in Morris’ trilogy. Full of incidences of survival, friendship, and clever ingenuity to see the sisters through the horror of the concentration camps to the promise of a future in Israel.

Amazing what people can endure with the help of strong faith and strong bonds of loyalty.
