Always a favorite place and never disappoints besides being open on Sunday.
Started with the special potato eggplant soup
Wahoo was the substitute for tuna and a great dish
Raspberry sorbet to end a very good meal

For some reason we avoided this wonderful space for 34 years until it become one of our favorite go to places. We ate there last year with Phil & Amy
Great place, one of our favorites.

The lack of tuna is everywhere ~ Eddy’s substitutes wahoo too. Windy weather methinks!
The best dinner on Saint Barth is a lunch at Sand Bar!
Well there's local tuna and there's Miami tuna. Places that buy only local tuna may have to substitute it on their menu. Places that are importing their tuna may not.
I've been at Repaire several times when a local fisherman brings them a whole tuna. The smiles on the kitchen staff tell the story.
I too have witnessed the fishermen bearing tuna in their arms and some hoisting the fresh fish on their shoulder to make the delivery. A joyful moment and a warm reception by all as seen through the kitchen window.
Lucky to have had a rare peek at restaurant protocols.

They took the Dame Blanche off the menu!!!
Is it true that they are closed on Mondays this year? This has been our go to place on day of arrival and this year we arrive on a Monday.
When I was there in November, Le Repaire was closed on Mondays due to staffing issues. I shifted my breakfast and lunch business down the street to Arawak Café, which was new to me.

Thanks for the suggestions, Eddy’s sounds good for an arrival dinner.
I wouldn't second-guess Eddy's as a first-night dinner choice. Eddy's takes reservations now. Their email is contact@eddysghetto.com
As a backup choice, I would consider La Creperie.
Today is Monday - right? Sometimes it’s hard to tell when I’m here.
Stopped by Le Repaire this morning as breakfast was finishing and prep for lunch beginning. They took my booking for dinner this evening.
I guess they are open on Mondays.
Quick update: We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner last night at Le Repaire. Cod fritters to start. Duck and "Black Angus" burger for mains. Tarte Fine aux Pommes for dessert - plenty for us to share. Loved all of the food, and the service was great.
Thanks for the update. As JEK said, there’s nothing like embedded reporting.
Best soups on the island
Good news. Thanks.
We had always gone to Le Repaire for breakfast, never for dinner. This year we tried it for dinner and it was one of the best meals on our trip. Definitely including it in the rotation going forward.
