    Sand Bar Doesn't Disappoint

Enjoying a leisurely lunch followed by a walk on the beach and a dip in the beautiful, warm, relatively calm St. Jean waters....what could be better?

The food included watermelon and goat cheese salad, shrimp cakes and wonderfully prepared local fish.

Ellen, I thought of you when I saw the watermelon and feta.

Looks fabulous! Sand Bar is wonderful on every level. We are excited to be staying at Eden Rock for 3 nights at the end of April prior to our grown kids coming down and join us on 4/29th. We will move to a lovely Lurin villa upon their arrival. We typically are not hotel people while on St. Barth, but we were so enamored by this beautiful hotel last April, we decided to splurge and treat ourselves for a few days. One hundred and eight days left, but who’s counting?!

Gayle, SOOO happy for you to get to stay at ER! We really wanted to but could not book in December. 3 days is perfect!! Now I need to learn to stay in a Villa..A & P are twisting our arms with some success...It might be a combo deal which I think sounds perfect!!

ER Sand Bar it so cool at night and I do love it there..very interesting "smoking" cocktails and beautiful cocktail menu to start your evening. My only disappointment was no the terrine of foie gras but every time it happens somewhere, something fascinating is there to take its place, so roll with it and have a wonderful time!!

You will adore staying at the Eden Rock. I vacationed there during my first visit to the island and it was like being in a fairy tale. A truly magical stay!

Thank you, Gina!! Maybe your next trip down you and DD can do what we are doing…stay several nights at a hotel and move to a villa for a week (or 2). Give it a go…you may be surprised! I know you and DD like to go to the gym, and there are plenty of villa’s that have them. The villa we are staying in this year, which we are trying for the first time, has a small one.

ER Sand Bar is tres chic and the cocktails are very creative and delightful! Can’t wait!! Too bad you won’t be down when we are…would be great to see you again! One of these years!!

I can only imagine, Jeanette! It may be the start of a new tradition. We all work so hard, and it’s nice to enjoy a little luxury while on St. Barth. It’s a luxury to be able to take these vacations, for sure!

This is counter to what most people think, but I much prefer dinner at Sand Bar, instead of lunch. At night, it's one of, if not, the most beautiful settings on the entire island. Love the dinners there....

Food looks good, but it's always the color of the water at St. Jean that gets me.

The best dinner on Saint Barth is a lunch at Sand Bar!
