Nantucket advice?

Hi all,

This site has always been incredibly helpful on our many trips to SBH over the years. Heading to Nantucket for the first time in a couple of weeks. Any suggestions for restaurants, "don't miss" sites, etc? Also wondering if we need to rent a car or if bikes and Uber will suffice?

Thanks in advance!
Melissa

Hello there!

If you are on the island over the 4th you and your lovely bride will be put to work! Tickets for a prix fix dinner with fireworks at the Galley just went on sale today Price says 300 per person with wines and open bar but I find that too good to be true. Special menu looks good and you are toes in the sand. Dennis has done well with Dune and Seasons (real foodie menu). I suggest CRU for oysters and lobster roll. It will be mobbed as will everywhere else. Nautilus has been a table to get and Sister ship is being highly spoken of. For really good food a little way out of town we do The Seagrille. Never had a bad meal over the years. Real extensive menu. Hidden gem for romantic dinner night would be Ship's Inn. Proprietors is also a hot table. Many like it for brunch. Be patient. No place has enough help because there is no employee housing.
