Actually, it was Cassidain who posted. Lorient looks good as of the late-October test.

In late Oct/Early November there were as many surfers as ever. We spent a few hours there one day and I was in the water a few times. So far, still 10 fingers and toes and no other issues have arisen. I wouldn't worry about it unless something specific comes up, but I am far from "in the know" on the testing, etc.
