Is Isoletta on hiatus?

Hi everyone.

They were closed both yesterday and today but their Facebook page which is fairly current says they are open every day. When we stopped there, We didn’t see any notice outside other than that they were looking for help.


Are they on hiatus?

Usually, like it’s big sister L’Isola, it has been closed on Mondays.

Instagram shows they should be open. They posted yesterday, “Join us for Sunday night dinner”

There might be a problem after all. Santa Fe had to close last night, no water. The water trucks were there today so they should be back on Thursday as planned.

There is always something on that isle. I remember going to Saline for dinner and the power was out. L’Esprit had no tuna carpaccio as the electric knife was out of commission. Learned that night that the tuna for carpaccio was kept frozen.

N.B. If one is closed, go to the next. Repeat as necessary.

Way easier to cut raw fish when it is slightly frozen

We went to Le Repaire the Monday before we left, and it was closed. We had never seen it closed before

Beef or tuna for carpaccio is kept almost frozen to prepare it for thin, even slicing.

The thin, even slicing is critical to successful servings of carpaccio. I had scallops carpaccio the other night at L’Esprit. In a perhaps hackneyed word . . . divine!

I DM’d Isoletta and they said they were indeed closed temporarily but they are now open.
