COVID-19 SITUATION POINT SAINT- BARTHÉLEMY Sharp increase in the number of new cases. On the last health bulletin (week 28), the ARS counted 5 cases of Covid-19 in Saint-Barthélemy, ie a posivity rate of 0.6%. In week 29 to 23 July, the situation deteriorated sharply: 102 positive tests for covid-19 were identified in the territory. The positivity rate (unbound) thus stands at 7.7%, with 1,324 tests carried out since the start of the week. 2 new clusters have been declared since the start of the week; we find them in festive and professional environments. The acceleration of traffic and transmission will put a strain on our health care system. we must therefore slow down, as much as possible, the progression of the virus and break the chains of contamination, by strengthening our collective vigilance, in particular by scrupulously observing barrier gestures. More generally, it is advisable to be tested at the slightest sign.
The French Red Cross screening center, located in Saint-Jean, is open from Monday to short-term, including Saturdays. Pharmacies in the territory also offer antigenic tests. Finally, vaccination remains our best weapon against the epidemic: contact the Medico-Social Center, the Hospital Center or even pharmacies and your doctor to access vaccines.
