Lurin bird strikes

I've read that those bird silhouettes don't do much to prevent bird strikes unless you cover the window with them. The birds see the reflection in the window and think there are more trees, or open spaces, or whatever is outside the window, and try to fly toward it. A little black shape in the corner won't prevent them from flying toward the tree they think they see.

Also, I believe the bird is called a Bridled quail dove, not a Croissant dove. :laughing-cry:

They've been known to come after my breakfast croissant -- with unbridled swiftness! -- when I'm eating outside and momentarily run indoors to get something!

Ha! Ha! That’s a perfect “nickname” for those sneaky winged snatchers!

This is the busiest little bird up here at our house...the white crowned pigeon. We currently have a flock of 6 this year sharing our view, water, and plants
