I had read this article. I believe the Economist is trying to create some optimism as the variants continue to dampen the travel outlook.
When the airline industry became all about how many can be crammed into a metal tube, the romance of travel was lost. Maybe we will have more space albeit at a higher price tag and travel can become a little more about wandering than just a destination. We will see.
