prints from Eddie Hirshfield

Two beautiful prints from Eddie Hirshfield who had nicely posted a sale earlier on the forum...

the street scene from Gustavia is hand painted and 16x22" - really beautiful.. and the scene of Fregate from Flamands (I assume) is smaller at 6x9" ... very dramatic skies...

the larger one was a gift for my daughter Rachel who is collecting St Barth Art and we had met Eddie together about 20 years ago at a street fair in Manyunk (Philly).. she saw his prints from about two blocks away and said - Look St Barth...

Thanks, Ellen. That street scene is one of my favorites. It has a nice balance between light and dark areas, and an "off-symmetry" which works well.

I like that about it as well as it perfectly captures the spirit of Gustavia and the traditional island architecture that is sadly disappearing... thanks for your good eye!
