Brandade de Morue is one of our favorites, but I don’t recall seeing it very often on menus. Are there any restaurants that regularly serve this dish?

    Re: Smoking law enforcement- Non

Sad as it may be, and as much as I despise smelling cigarette smoke, it's one of the things we have decided to "ignore" about SBH. Thankfully, this forum has provided a wealth of advice regarding...

Just - wow! 20% response with signatures is truly amazing. Perhaps Pandora’s Box has officially been opened? I hope they find great success in their endeavor.

Is there a specific brand you prefer? The last time we were in Marche U I recognized the logo of a brand we used to buy when we lived in Belgium. Now I can’t recall the name.
  17. Re: 11 mini reviews of my dining experiences so far.

I especially like your numerical ratings. Have you ever given a perfect 20? If so I’d love to know where so I can visit! Can’t wait to read your next set of reviews.

Is it possible to be homesick for a place that isn’t your “home?”

Rosé on the beach. (It never tastes as good at home!)
  20. Re: Malol is a great little shop connected to Eddy’s

That scarf sounds beautiful! We passed by the shop a couple of times but it was either mid-day or too late at night. Will definitely plan a visit during opening hours this summer.

A Shoutout to Saint Barth Commuter!

I wanted to highlight another great customer service effort by Saint Barth Commuter. Recently we put together our travel plans for a visit in June, and the only piece of the puzzle remaining was our...

I can definitely understand why that is your favorite table. We were fortunate enough to be seated next to one of those windows on our recent visit and it was a lovely place to enjoy a meal. Private...

    Part 9 - November 2019 Trip Report

Because this was our last day (and not wanting to waste one minute of it) we set our alarm for 7:30. We decided swimming and relaxing at St. Jean beach would be a perfect final-day activity. After a...
  24. Re: Advice Needed for Villa Paradis vs Le Perchoir

Woodr35 - thank you so much for your input. One of the reviews I read (perhaps it was yours?) mentioned being able to hear the surf, and I was surprised that it would be possible. Hearing the waves...
  25. Re: Sunday Night Dining Options / Pizza Takeout on Sunday

We stayed in Villa Petite St Louis just up the street from La Saintoise, and although we never ate there it always smelled great driving by. Technically there are a couple of chairs and/or barstools...
  26. Re: Favorite Stores for Men and Women’s clothing on the island?

My husband’s favorite store for swim trunks is MC2. They have such whimsical prints and he’s got quite the collection. In fact, he takes more swimsuits to SBH than me just so he can wear them all.

I'm so glad everyone is posting their favorite spot for lobster. Now that we know what we've been missing it will be easy to find a place to indulge. However, my mind is coming up blank - what is GDS?

So glad to see SBH restaurants don't have to (or just don't choose to) follow the silly trademark rules by calling it "The Big Game."

Re: Part 8 - November Trip Report

Listing favorites is such a hard task because, for us, it is so dependent on what we happen to be hungry for that day, what mood we're in, what the weather is like (if outdoor seating is desired),...

Re: Part 6 - November 2019 Trip Report

It was SO easy to setup, and you can easily fit 3-4 tightly rolled towels along with sunscreen, etc into the pack for transport to/from the beach. I bought mine on amazon for $25.
