Where is that served? Or is it homemade? Maybe by a personal trainer?
I might have tried the sushi at zictop- not familiar with that establishment!
It is fun to see the menus but hard realizing we have missed our 2021 visit in Jan./Feb. to the island.
Malol has cashmere sequined scarves and beautiful semi precious stone necklaces all at reasonable prices.
Glad to hear all stores are open. Say hi to Stephen, their son who runs the men’s shop at...
Congratulations to Lucia!
Keep your ears covered!
My copy of the decree is fuzzy and very difficult to read. The decree was on March 1. Hopefully someone locally will be able to post a legible copy.
Plus I admit I don’t know how to post an...
Agree on Dover Sole at Santa Fe.
As to the ship captain, a well written article about his decision making process.
We knew an Indy race car driver during the peak of his career. Whenever he had an...
In a government decree the island’s Hospital Imaging Center was renamed in honor of Larry O’Donnell. Larry and Sue were responsible for raising the funds to pay for the center. It has been six months...
Sorry to learn this Ellen. We have stood outside of that little building listening to Bruno et play their tunes with the musical notes quietly drifting across the air of the town. Those are special...
Maryella-
please send reviews of the restaurants and hotel. Are you staying by chance at the Westin? We used to stay at a Rock (Rockefeller) Resort there - Caneel Bay- but it is long gone I think....
I have seen whales twice from the island. Once from our villa in Pte. Milou and from Santa Fe when Manu pointed it out to us from way up in Lurin. One was in Feb. and the other was during the bucket...
At leasr we are all talking about the same turn. Yes they ‘roughed it up’ but I believe it was also widened to barely two lanes. I can’t fathom driving up there in the rain in a Smart Car pre road...
Hello Fred!
Compared to years ago, the roads on the island have in general improved dramatically. I remember the single lane hairpin turn going up to Saline from Grand Fond, praying a truck wasn’t coming the...
I had read this article. I believe the Economist is trying to create some optimism as the variants continue to dampen the travel outlook.
When the airline industry became all about how many can be...
Nice article and thoughts Dennis. The many photographs over the years of Forum gatherings are like paintings of the good memories and different times.
Not surprising. We try to run water a long time when it hadn’t been used for a while in a given location. Sometimes we see it come out of the tap discolored initially.
Wish we could all wake up one morning and discover that the pandemic is nothing but a bad dream.
Again sad. We think this event is fun- A Sunday stroll.
Think of the time it takes to recruit the staff as one example.
I presume all of the Hotels on the island have deep pockets. I worry more about the restaurant owners and shops. Very sad. Even though travel will be different, what the island and it’s people offer...
We can all speculate but as Amy says, France decides.
I read both articles. Coming up with a definition of life will always be a challenge.
A new word- interesting reference to Grassroots- hence the synthetic (read phony) origin of the message or organization.
Amy
We have to agree- Manu’s Dover Sole was outstanding as well his moules and frites!
I’ll take one of those wonderful pizzas from Bananiers!
Jim
The fish and reefs are waiting for you and so are we for your great photos!
Beautiful watch!
We made multiple safari trips to Africa and carried those yellow cards wherever we went. We also still have them.
Is that last photo taken in Pte. Milou as I see the little islands in the distance?
“An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.”
Izzy can help here, but I understand children don’t generally progress beyond mild symptoms. However they can spread it like anybody else to especially the more vulnerable on the island.
We did the path several years ago and parts had fallen in. We didn’t know if there could be erosion over time. Obviously all is fine.
Eddy- Thank you for being our eyes. What a great welcome from the island! Guirec looks great! I expected a long beard, tired looking, person but he looks like he just hopped out off a tender from one...
I believe it rents out for quite a DEAR sum. However it looks wonderful!
