    Re: Attempt at trip report

We also had our honeymoon on SBH, it was our first time. Congratulations! Being it's your 4th time, you get it! :)
  3. Re: One way to get your island fix when not on-island...

I think it's way older than that... look at all the green space where Hotel Gustaf is today...?

    Finished!!!

My husband and I were trying to figure out how old this picture is... It's obviously pretty old due to how much green space there is in Gustavia! Anyone have any guesses to what year...
  5. Re: Updated inexpensive restaurant list~eat like a local….

Love Le Bouchon - they are open on Sundays, which is a plus.
  6. Re: One way to get your island fix when not on-island...

    Awesome!
  7. Re: One way to get your island fix when not on-island...

My husband got it for me on eBay as a nice surprise. :)
  8. Re: One way to get your island fix when not on-island...

Luckily, I am not hosting this year!
  9. One way to get your island fix when not on-island...

The question is, will I ever finish?

    Re: Resto Réservation Deposits

This is very common, unfortunately. Not to mention extremely rude.

Someone I know on-island is a concierge for high-end villa guests and told me a story from last year when the guests (10 of...

    Re: SJU departure hall

This exact thing happened to me, only it was MIA - - I had a half-eaten Maya's To Go sandwich in my bag and the customs agent scolded me for 5 straight minutes about how "flaunting the rules" could...

Similar story here... I renewed a few weeks before my husband did, I got renewed right away and new card in the mail a week or so later... My husband's is still "under review" 6 weeks later.

    Re: Preview of coming attractions

I guess we are no longer "avoiding progress?" It does look nice, and of course I wish them all the best- - but, I have to admit I have some mixed feelings about it.

  18. Re: The finest Salade Niçoise you will find, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon St Barth vers

They sell the Ortiz Ventresca brand white tuna belly in olive oil at the American Gourmet store - this is what I had used here. It is delicious!!!
  19. Re: The finest Salade Niçoise you will find, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon St Barth vers

Yes, I did add some Cannellini beans because I was trying to use them up, but this is my version. Not as beautiful as the one at Atelier, but still tasty and one of my favorite salads!

Re: Cottages on the way to Colombier

Thank you all for the recommendations - - we ended up doing an airbnb just down the road from our villa - - we will think of it as a little staycation!
  26. Re: Now is the time to start on your passport renewals!

My Global Entry was due to expire in October, I was lucky, got my renewal approved in 24 hours and no need to have an interview. It is luck of the draw, I guess.

Re: Le Select new menu item! WWMS?

Make sure it's actually Mahi - the menu at the window a few weeks ago said just said fish burger, thought it was what I had ordered before (a Mahi sandwich) - it was not. And, it was not good.

This is great news! As a boater, coming into a large port and not being able to do laundry is a big downer.

She wasn't when I booked her for 2020, things may have changed, or perhaps she was busy that day? I didn't follow Chipper's whole thread, so he would know more than me.
