My bad- thought I remembered a photo on a thread of something running into the water in the vicinity.
One wonders if SBH should be doing something similar to protect its residents instead of what has been described on other threads as almost unhampered entry from a covid perspective.
This is called a ‘carbon positive’ action. Instead of flying, people will travel by train. This apparently has nothing to do with Covid spread nor does it impact international flight destinations.
A nice note regarding Les Voiles 2022!
Not a surprise. Do the winds blow normally from St. Vincent area toward SBH?
Didn’t know that about tuna. Thank you.
Hello Randy from your Indiana fan club!
I assume from a drone?
A beautiful shot!
A pause is very different than a recall or removal from the marketplace. We will see.
We have a number of items with those little colorful fish Gloriette uses as kind of their trademark. We love them and their rum.
The movie depicting the successful evacuation of Dunkirk was emotionally tough but a generally wonderful outcome. Hopefully the same for St. Vincent.
Kevin- I recall a thread- where does all the ‘honey’ go from the honey trucks? Part of the answer is the big pipe in the area where you won’t swim.
and ditto- Yikes as to the safgassum.
There were no places on St. Vincent on the list. Was thinking about St. Lucia withpossible ash fall.
Travel and Leisure just announced the top 25-
St. Barthelemy occupies 4 spots-
# 6 Le Barthelemy
# 13 Cheval Blanc
# 14 Eden Rock
# 16 le Sereno
Interesting none from Bermuda.
Hopefully none...
We have discussed the drones with Tradewinds pilots. They consider them a dangerous nuisance.
Too bad it had to become an ‘industrial/commercial area but those island necessities had to be located somewhere.
We are not happy with the way some motor scooters ‘behave’ but are very sorry to learn of this tragedy.
One year we put out a large trap and for several days in a row, the trap was sprung and the ‘bait’ was gone. We purchased an XL trap and the next morning there was a ‘giant’ raccoon in the trap. We...
Hopefully this won’t be too much red tape for the Brits on the island.
We believe David at Santa Fe and La Langouste has a lock on the biggest lobsters.
We remember they were shut down due to misbehavior. Guess their time is up or soon to be.
Wonderful that everybody- all ages- except for pediatric we guess- are eligible to receive the vaccines! Now how many will?
Which restaurants -if any-have priorities on receiving the fresh fish each day- our guess is hotels come first such as Eden Rock etc.- maybe the biggest and most consistent daily customers?
Great way to start the morning.
Another explosion there yesterday with temporary power outages. There are reports of homes imploding due to the weight of the ash. Those poor people. Wonder if the Red Cross will be coming in?
Bart Ditto on “Small Yacht”- maybe for St. Barth.
Keep those photos coming. Wonderful shots!
Friends of ours who have been on the island for a number of months have received both of their Pfizer shots there.
We love that the restaurant still has the same look and feel as it did so many years ago.
Those pictures of the ash reminded us of the cancellations in northern Europe due to the Icelandic eruption. a number of years back. Hope everybody is okay.
However it is written or translated David and before Manu have consistently had the best moulets e frites on the island year after year.
Thanks to all of you for posting your treasured memories!
Your photographs allow us to be there when we can’t.
As a thought, let’s debate about subjects like Petite Anse before and after. Personal comments about Mike etc. might best be private. You 4 or 5 on this thread are our leaders so where we go on the...
